About these terms

These terms apply to your use of Tır Lazım, the online road freight marketplace operated by Depom Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17164981), registered office 5 Mayfair Avenue, Salford, M6 8AF, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”).

Tır Lazım is for businesses: shippers who need goods moved and carriers who move them. By creating an account you confirm that you act for a business and that you may accept these terms on its behalf.

Our role

We run the marketplace: we show loads to carriers who can carry them, pass quotes, messages, documents and shipment updates between the parties, and keep a record of them.

We are not a carrier, freight forwarder or broker, and we never take charge of the goods. When a shipper accepts a quote, the contract of carriage is made directly between the shipper and the carrier. The freight price is agreed and paid between them; we do not collect it.

Accounts and your team

  • Give accurate and complete information about yourself and your company, and keep it up to date.
  • Each person uses their own sign-in. Keep your password and two-step sign-in codes private; you are responsible for what is done with your account.
  • Company owners decide who joins the company and with which role. What your team members do on the platform is done on behalf of your company.

Verification

Carriers must submit the documents we ask for and be verified before they can quote. We may also ask shippers for documents.

Verification means that we reviewed the documents and details given to us at a point in time. It is not a guarantee of a company’s performance, solvency or insurance cover. It ends when a declared licence or insurance expires, or after the period shown on the verification page, and we may suspend it if information turns out to be wrong.

Loads, quotes and bookings

  • A shipper must describe the load accurately: addresses, dates, goods, weight, dimensions, dangerous goods, customs status and any special handling.
  • A quote is the carrier’s offer on the terms shown, valid until the time it states. The carrier can revise or withdraw it until it is accepted.
  • When the shipper accepts a quote, a booking is created on exactly those terms. The booking is a binding agreement between the two companies. We keep a fingerprinted copy of the agreed terms so that either party can show what was agreed.
  • An express job offered at the shipper’s price is booked as soon as a carrier takes it; taking it is a binding acceptance.
  • A shipper may show a load only to its own carriers, or to them first. A request for a quote sent to a carrier for a posted vehicle is an invitation to quote, not a booking.

Carrying out the transport

  • The carrier is responsible for the licences, permits and insurance the transport requires, for its vehicles and drivers, and for carrying the goods safely.
  • The shipper is responsible for the goods being ready, properly packed and lawful to carry, and for the customs and other documents it has agreed to provide.
  • Where the CMR Convention or another mandatory law applies to the carriage, it governs the parties’ rights and liabilities. Nothing on the platform changes that.
  • Shipment updates are reported by the parties, or by a system one of them connects (such as a warehouse’s dock booking system), and are shown as reported.

Cancellations

Either party can cancel a booking on the platform and give a reason; the other party is told at once. A cancellation close to the agreed pickup is recorded as a late cancellation and counts in the cancelling company’s record on the platform.

Any compensation between the parties for a cancellation is a matter for their agreement and the applicable law.

Disputes

If something goes wrong with a booking, either party can open a dispute on the platform and add evidence. Our team reviews it and records an outcome on the platform.

This is an administrative review, not arbitration. It does not decide claims between the parties and does not limit their legal rights or remedies.

Reviews

After a completed booking each party may review the other. A review stays hidden until both parties have reviewed or the review period ends. Other companies see a review with the route and the month, not the reviewer’s name.

Reviews must be honest and about that booking. You can reply to a review about your company or report it to us. We may remove reviews and replies that are false, abusive or unrelated, or that contain personal data.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • give false information, pretend to be another company, or post loads, quotes or vehicles you do not intend to honour;
  • use the platform for anything unlawful, including moving goods that are prohibited or that you are not entitled to send;
  • harass, threaten or deceive other users, or use their contact details for anything other than the booking concerned;
  • copy or collect data from the platform by automated means, except through our API with your own token and within its limits;
  • interfere with the platform’s security or operation, or try to reach accounts or data that are not yours.

Your content

You remain responsible for the information, documents and messages you add. You allow us to store and process them and to show them to the users who need them, as our Privacy Policy describes, so that we can run the marketplace. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law.

Suspension and closing an account

You can stop using the platform at any time and ask for your account to be deleted in your privacy settings.

We may restrict, suspend or close an account, or remove a load, if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, to prevent fraud or harm, or where the law requires it. Where we can, we will tell you why. Records we must keep are kept as our Privacy Policy describes.

The service

We work to keep the platform available and correct, but we provide it as it is. We do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or free of errors, that a load will receive quotes or that a carrier will perform. We may change or withdraw features, and we will tell you before a change that significantly affects you.

Liability

We are not a party to the contracts between shippers and carriers and are not liable for the transport, the goods or delays, or for what other users do or fail to do.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for loss of profit, business or data, and our total liability to you for all claims arising in any 12-month period is limited to £100.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Personal data

Our Privacy Policy explains how we use personal data. If you receive personal data about someone through a booking — a contact name or a driver’s details, for example — you may use it only for that booking and must protect it as data protection law requires.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will tell you about important changes by e-mail or on the platform at least 14 days before they take effect, unless a change is needed sooner for legal or security reasons. If you go on using the platform after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
